“ Wrote a review about this place three years ago, and it only gets better every time I visit. The staff is nice, friendly, and treats you as if you are the most important customer they've had all day. It's a nice, friendly, neighborhood, joint that lives up to the classical tradition of the great local deli. The meats, cheeses, and prepared salads are always fresh and of the highest quality. Everything is made to order and done well, particularly for the price. A truly great value. It's a comfortable, clean store with a good variety of wares. I often purchase bread there. Candys is a becoming another Jeannette institution known for its friendliness, its commitment to the neighborhood, and its great food and service. ”

The sandwiches are reasonably priced and the portions are just right. They are made with care and are a delicious way to grab a quick and tasty lunch. The deli meats, cheeses, and prepared salads are always fresh and reasonably priced. The selection of grocery items makes this a quick in-and-out destination location. The best thing about this deli, though, is the staff. They are friendly and helpful. Each time I visit, I'm greeted like an old friend. Most important, the deli fulfilled a need and took a risk on the neighborhood by opening up during the pandemic. It's great to see them succeeding and I hope they become a local institution. ”
